Boudoir Photoshoot Outfit Ideas

1. Bigger is Better

When trying on lingerie or clothing for your session, opt for pieces that are slights loose rather than ones that feel tight. Tight lingerie will push down into your skin and be less comfortable. If you are in between cup sizes for a bra always go for the bigger one so you aren’t spilling out on the sides.

2. Labels and Tags

Remove all labels and tags from your lingerie and clothing. They are very visible and easy to see when photographed - especially lace or any sheer items.

3. Accessories to Bring for Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Little accessories can make your entire ensemble pop. Perhaps a sheer robe, garter, knee high socks, or a pair of heels.

4. Bridal Boudoir Accessories

For brides, bring any item of your partner’s wardrobe such as a button down shirt, t-shirt, or sweatshirt. Also a veil can be a fun touch even if you aren’t planning on wearing one on your wedding day.

5. How Many Outfits Should You Bring?

Bring a max of 5 items or outfits to wear. Typically people wear 2-3 options during their photoshoots. Give yourself options but don’t go over the top. Having 3-5 options will allow you to wear what feels the best right before your shoot.

6. Boudoir Outfit Ideas

  • T-shirt, high socks, no underwear

  • Stockings, garter, lace underwear and bra

  • Sneakers and a sweatshirt

  • Bodysuits

  • Sheer robe with lace underwear

  • Just a sheet

7. Wear What Makes You Feel Confident

Confidence comes from comfort. If you aren’t comfortable in the outfit you chose I suggest trying something that feels more like you.

If lingerie isn’t your thing, go in a different direction, and grab an oversized t-shirt and briefs. You can wear whatever you want to your photoshoot. If you’re having a hard time figuring out what to wear, let's chat about it and make a shopping checklist!
